Welcome to the Stromlo Canberra Junior Triathlon Club Triathlon Program (Little T’s Triathlon), where your child can develop their triathlon skills with experienced coaches. Led by Coach Corey, who has over 15 years of experience in developing junior triathletes to an elite level, our program offers bike and run sessions on weekends.
Our team of coaches also includes Coach Rory, who has worked with kids across triathlon and NSW Sport and Rec holiday camps, Dave Williams, a Performance Triathlon coach in Canberra with years of experience, and Abi Adera, a learn-to-swim teacher with a triathlon background.
Our hour and a half sessions are held on either Saturday or Sunday afternoons, depending on the centre you train out of. We understand the importance of accommodating busy family schedules, and our training time ensures no conflict with other sports your child may participate in. Communication with our coaches is via Heya app, and those who register each term will be invited to join.
To join our program, we require kids to have basic swimming, biking, and running skills, such as swimming 25m-50m with fins, riding a bike, and jogging/running. Our program welcomes kids of all ages and levels.
For equipment, we recommend bringing swim fins, kickboard, goggles, and swim cap (Little T’s Swim Cap provided). For more advanced swimmers, we suggest bringing a swim snorkel, finger paddles, and pull buoy. For biking, an Australian approved helmet and a bike (preferably Mtn) in good working order are required. Running shoes with elastic laces are also necessary.
